Recently, while walking down the street we found a ratty, old chair sitting on the sidewalk. While someone thought the chair was ready for the dump, we saw possibilities. The frame needed minor repairs and the seat needed to be reupholstered and reattached, but we knew that once the wear and tear of the wood was covered up by a beautiful Benjamin Moore color we would have a great looking piece on our hands, perfect to use in the right niche in a home or office environment.

After a little sanding to smooth out the wood’s surface, we used Benjamin Moore Aura semi-gloss paint, which went on smoothly with just one coat. We chose to use "Wasabi" as our color, as it evoked a bright and cheery attitude, perfect for a sunny spot. Once the paint was dry, we covered the seat with 1/4 yard of an upolstery fabric we found that complimented the paint color perfectly. So in just a few hours of work we can now unanimously give our shoutout signoff... “Junk to Gem”!
